Bad Idea Brewing began in 2015 as a conversation between friends over the dinner table about opening a brewery; we knew we had a name when one of our wives said “This is a bad idea.” From that date on, we’ve been working to deliver unique, high-quality craft beer to southern middle Tennessee.

We officially opened the doors to our brewery and taproom on September 7, 2019, in Columbia’s Arts District as the first on-site brewery in city/county history.
